Rapid Engineering Batch Powder Coating Oven

Thanks to the addition of our Rapid Engineering Batch Powder Coating Oven; the LARGEST oven capacity in north-central WV, IMS now has the ability to provide an automotive quality finish at a lower price and with less of an environmental impact than traditional painting systems.

The batch oven can accommodate material as large as 12'x12'x20'. This allows large projects to be completed locally rather than requiring shipment for coating. Using a state of the art system, IMS can produce a thicker and more durable finish. This will add value to the end product. No job is too big or too small! With hundreds of colors to choose from and quality precision, our finished product is guaranteed to be pristine.

IMS offers sand blasting with a variety of blast medias to allow for a smooth and clean finish.

We even do small projects such as coffee cups and decorative signs. View some of our work below. Give us a call if you have a project to evaluate or any questions.

Benefits of Powder Coating

  • Cost Savings ImageCost Savings
Since powder is applied using electrostatic attraction, it allows for 80% efficiency in the application. Compared to 50% efficiency using traditional wet spray it allows for a greater cost savings while using less material.
  • Durability ImageDurability
Powder coat is physically harder than paint. This combined with additional thickness makes powder coat a vastly more durable finish.
  • Flexibility ImageFlexibility
Powder coat can withstand bending without cracking or peeling. Some powders can endure as much as 800% elongation.
  • Adhesion ImageAdhesion
Powder coat offers superior adhesion to its substrate surface, while at the same time requiring less surface preparation.
  • Thickness ImageThickness
Powder coat is 4 to 10 times the thickness of traditional wet sprayed paint.
  • Environmental Impact ImageEnvironmental Impact
Powder coating does not release harmful chemicals in to the atmosphere like wet spray. For this reason Powder coating is not subject to the same environmental regulation as traditional paint methods.
  • Corrosion Resistance ImageCorrosion Resistance
Powder Coat offers superior resistance to heat and corrosion. Whether subjected to chemicals or salt, a powder coat surface will maintain it's look and luster while protecting the substrate material.
  • Color Availabilty ImageColor Availabilty
With powder available across the entire spectrum, we have the ability to match any available paint color.
